Stampin' Addicts Occasion Mini Catalog Blog Hop - Peachy Keen

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Occasion Mini Blog Hop.  This time I start it off with Peachy Keen.  Of course if you are like me you may have started in the middle and came here from Heidi at Running with Scissors and using Happy Congratulations.  Heidi is a great friend of mine and I really love her work.  Doesn't she do a great job With Happy Congratulations.

For this Blog Hop  I wanted to use the Peachy Keen  Bundle.  I had a Polaroid Camera the first camera I ever had.  It was one that you had the photo and pulled back the paper and ran the spongy thing over, then I got one that shot the picture out and loved them both.  So I had to have this set.  I also had a great photo that I wanted to make a page out of and give to one of Meigan's friends and it went so well with this set.  you will see it in a minute.

Only thing I am disappointed in is that the camera framelit die is opposite of the camera stamp so it does not match up so you can not cut out the camera with the framelit unless you turn it over and try to do it backward.  i did find if you use the stamp-a-ma-jig you can stamp after you cut it out, I may do a Tips & Techniques Video on how to do that soon.

So here are my projects I really hope you like them.

This is the one I talked about.  Meigan's friend and I were taking photos all the time we were in Portland and so before we headed to the zoo we just snapped one of each other taking a photo.  i think it is pretty cute.  This is an 8X8 page.
Supplies used:
Stamp Set - Peachy Keen (wood 133110, Clear 133113); Ink - Real Red (126949), Whisper White Craft (101731); Cardstock - Basic Black (121045), Whisper White (100730), Bermuda Bay (131197), Crushed Curry (131199);  Designer Series Paper - I Am Me (130138); Accessories - Glue Dots On Film Framelits Dies (132969), Big Shot (113439), Hearts Collection Framelits (125599).

This is my simple card.  It is fast and easy.  You could substitute a photo for the saying if you would like.  I love the colors of course I am partial to Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry if you haven't noticed.  I really think Polaroid went out of business about 3 years to soon.  Since the instant photos are coming back I still wish they were up and running, I really miss my Polaroid.
Supplies: Stamp Set - Stamp Set – Peachy Keen ( Wood 133110, Clear 133113); Ink – Basic Black (126980), Bermuda Bay (131171); Cardstock – Bermuda Bay  8 ½ x 5 ½, Large Scrap (131197), Crushed Curry 5 x 4 (131199), Whisper White 5 x 4 (100730);  Accessories – Glue Dots (103683), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), Big Shot (113439),On Film Framelits Dies (132969), Banner Framelit Dies (132173), Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder (117335).

I love this one.  The film strips are so cool.  Reminds me of all my negative I have.  I also worked a few summers showing movies in a State Park in Michigan and I can remember threading all the film.  I really thought this needed some bling so the Rhinestones Really helped.
Supplies: Stamp Set – Peachy Keen (wood 133110, clear 133113); Ink – Basic Black (126980), White Stamping Chalk Marker (132133); Cardstock – Crushed Curry 8 ½ x 5 ½  (131199), Basic Black 4 ¼ x 5 ½ (121045) Smoky Slate 2 – 2 ¼ x 2 ½ small scrap (131202);  Accessories – Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246), Glue Dots (103683), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), Big Shot (113439), On Film Framelits Dies (132969), Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder (117335).

This is probably my favorite.  I had it all planned that I was going to put a bunch of the cameras of all different colors on the card. Then when I realized I could not stamp and die cut them, or even just die cut them and see the detail (at least for photos on the web, not the ones in the 8 x 8 page) I was a little upset until someone said that the gold foil looked really nice with the die cut.  So I came up with this and I really like it, only thing I think would make it better was a little Oscar Statue Stamp.  I think it is Peachy Keen.

Supplies: Stamp Set – Peachy Keen ( Wood 133110, Clear 133113); Ink – Basic Black (126980); Cardstock – Basic Gray 8 ½ x 5 ½ (121044), Smoky Slate 2 5/8 x 2 3/8 (131202), Gold Foil (132622), Silver Foil (132178); Accessories – Glue Dots (103683), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), Big Shot (113439),On Film Framelits Dies (132969).
