Grandma's Rocking Chair - April 27, 2014 - Paper Snips

Grandma's Rocking Chair - Reviewing Stampin' Up! Paper Snips

I use the Stampin' Up! Paper Snips for cutting my ribbon.  They are very sharp and I like that they are tiny cutters for very fussy cuts but I do not like the handles.  I like handles that I can get my fingers in not just one finger on each hand.
I like the handles of the Craft and Paper Scissors better ( not the best) but I don't like their long blades for fussy cutting.

The scissors I like the best are Fiskar Scissors but they are not making them anymore and I only have 3 pair that are sharp anymore.  I have to find more of these.  The handles are cushioned and big enough for my hand which makes it really comfortable, right or left handed.

I do have 2 pair of the Paper snips and just ordered another pair.  I do like them for fussy cuts but not if I have to do a lot of them.  I like that they stay sharp except if you cut any adhesives with them and they you might as well through them away, but that is with any regular scissors.

Here are the details on the Paper Snips

Price: $9.95
These small, thin-bladed scissors are perfect for all your paper trimming needs. They are great for snipping that little bits of paper or when trimming ribbon. Thin stainless steel blades for perfect cutting in even the tiniest areas.

* Precision-ground tips allow for cutting all the way to the end of the blades
* Protective shield (safety cover)
* Comfort-grip handle for ease in cutting
* Exclusive to Stampin' Up!

* 2-1/2" blade

If you don't mind the small handles these are great scissors.

I hope you have enjoyed this review.

New Catalog coming out soon.  Stand by for sneak peeks.

Happy Stamping
Mary

  1. When you get adhesive residue on your scissors just clean your blades with any adhesive remover. I use Skin So Soft and the blades are as good as new. Also, try re sharpening the blades of your scissors. My ex would sharpen mine, I sure miss that!

    1. With sticky strip I still find my snips are ruined and Stampin' Up! does not advise resharpening. I tried a professional sharpener and when he was done it would only cut heavy card stock and then not clean. So i have some tape cutting scissors for adhesive.
