There's a Card Thursday - May 30, 2019 - Stampin' Up! Floating Frame Card

On Tuesday I showed you the Floating Frame Technique to day I would like to show you how to put the 2 cards you can make together.  It is great that you get 2 cards out of one.  Here are some of the ones I have been doing lately

So let's see how to finish off these cards.

Product List

Supplies: Stamp Set - Flowering Desert [148700]; Ink - Tuxedo Black Memento [132708]; Card Stock - Whisper White 8 ½ x 5 ½  [100730], Basic Black 5 ½ x 4 ¼  [121045], Coastal Cabana 8 ½ x 5 ½  [131297]; Designer Series Paper - Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper [149622]; Accessories - Stampin' Dimensionals [104430], Mini Stampin' Dimensionals [144108], Big Shot [143263], Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies [145372], Press’n Seal.

Instructions:

  1. Cut out the items you would like to use for the frame.  I cut out a few sheets of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.  You can die cut or use anything that you can to fill a 5 ½ x 4 ¼ piece of card stock.
  2. Now arrange them on the 5 ½ x 4 ¼ piece of cardstock.  DO NOT ATTACH
  3. Gently Dust the Press’n Seal or the cut outs with an embossing buddy.
  4. Gently lay the Press’n Seal over the cut outs and rub to make it stick.
  5. Lift up the press and seal and remove the base card stock.
  6. Attach your chosen Die Cut to the Press’n Seal with a piece or two of Washi tape and run through the big shot.  You may have to shim it to make sure it cuts out.
  7. Remove the inside and outside cuts.
  8. Turn each over and put Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals on the back.  I do not remove the die as it then provides rigidity for laying it on the card base.
