Grandma's Rocking Chair - June 1, 2014 -Graduation

Grandma's Rocking Chair - OK this week I am not answering questions or even reviewing a Stamping Product.  I just want to show off me Oldest Daughter and her Graduation from High School.  It was a very special week for us here.  Kayla Graduated with honors from East High School and the International Baccalaureate Program.  This is a really hard program and she has been working super hard and has finally finished with a 3.89 average.

On Wednesday was the IB graduation.  They had 37 in the diploma program and  with the certificate program.  The certificate program does not get you an IB Diploma but you take all the IB classes.  You just do not have to do Extended Essay, CAS, or any IB tests (they still have to do their regular test but not the formal IB tests that all IB students worldwide take).  This was like a family since they have been together for 4 years and take a lot of the same classes, with out as they say regular kids in those classes.

These are the Rope Tassels they received for their graduation gowns.  They also received IB pins and Honor Pins.

This is Kayla and her Dad studying her High School Record.  I never received my record when I graduated.  They always said things were going into your record but I never saw them.  Here they are given to the IB students and you can see their progress from when they entered school until they graduated.

This is Kayla.
This is Kayla and Emily.  They have been best friends since 4th grade when we moved here. They went to separate Middle Schools but saw each other at least 3 - 4 times a week and got back together for IB.
This is Kayla receiving her Rope Tassel and Pins.

Even though the class was small was still hard to get them in all one shot so I took a few shots but mainly where Kayla and Emily were.
We call this the Graduating IB Students with the next Graduating IB students.  Both Emily and Kayla have sisters the same age and they will both start IB next year. So one set of friends are leaving and another are coming in.  All the teachers have been warned but have also been told they are nothing like their older sisters.
Mr Madland the IB Coordinator and Kayla.  He is really the IB principal and a really good friends to all the students.

Saturday was the the regular Graduation for Cheyenne East High School.

Just waiting for Kayla.

I can't come in the stadium until I find my best friend and we do it together.

Kayla has had some of these teachers for 2 - 3 years and for numerous classes.  She will miss them, they have become friends.

How fast can we find each other at the end of the ceremony?  Pretty fast.

We did it.

And we did it.

We then had a great party with family and friends.
We had a lot of Kayla's friends show up since we didn't start until later most other parties were done so we had more kids than most parties.  It was a good time.

I hope you enjoyed our graduation it was fun.  Thanks for visiting.

Happy Stamping
Mary
