If you haven't noticed some of the new embossing folders that Stampin' Up! is selling are a different size.
They are 6" x 6". We have two in the 15- 16 Annual Catalog and some more coming in the Holiday Catalog.
This is the Brick Wall
This is the Fluttering one.
Why do they come in 6 x 6. I think it was to ruin my brand new storage of my Embossing Folders and Framelits. I now have them all in half 3 ring binders and the 6 x 6 do not fit in those. Though that is not what Stampin' Up! said. What they said is that the are great for being able to emboss both ways on the card front.
You can't see it really good but the bricks run the same way on both the horizontal and the vertical card. Now that is great. I really like that I wish the Happy Hearts Arrows were like that also.
They fit in perfect to the big shot and I mean perfect, no room to spare.
I don't know if they fit into the Cuttle Bug or any other embossing machines but they do fit into the Big Shot we sell.
But that also creates a problem. If you are off even a little bit or it is crooked just a bit you may have a problem. it will scar your folder and may peel or crack it. Ask how I know?
I did it. I stopped before it got bad but I almost didn't notice it doing it. So you have to be careful.
One solution is to cut a bit off the sides. I am thinking of taking 1/8 to 1/4 off the side and bottom.
I like them but you really have to be careful with them.
I give them a 2 thumbs up.
