Grandma's Rocking Chair - August 2, 2015 - Mini Stamping Convention

Today we just finished up my Mini Stamping Convention.

So what is a mini stamping convention.  It is just like the Stampin' Up! convention but a lot smaller.  We have classes, make and takes, bag give a ways and even prize patrol.  It started last Thursday with Opening Session and I had classes all day on Friday and Saturday and today was closing session.

Here are a few of the classes we had.

This was from the Black and White Class
This was from the How to make boxes of all sizes.
Then of course we had the Wrap a Chocolate Bar Class.

This was from the What to do with Designer Series paper

This was our Opening Session Make and Take.
This was from the Man Card Class
This was from the Single Layer Class
This was the closing session make and take.
Everyone had a good time and it was fun making everything.

Next year you should join we will do it live but I will also send you the kits if you can't make it.

Don't forget about the Great Newsletter Contest.
In August I will be having a contest for all my Newsletter Subscribers.  I will be giving away a fun Stamping Basket to a lucky winner of my drawing.  For every Newsletter you open you will be entered into a the drawing.  If I have four newsletters that month and you open them all you will have 4 entries.  If I put out a special newsletter and you open it that will be another entry into the drawing.

If you would like to play just sign up for my newsletter on the left hand column.  Pass it along to your friends. Must be US resident.

Grandma's Rocking Chair - July 20, 2014 - Mini Stamp Convention

Grandma's Rocking Chair today will be about the Mini Stamp Camp I just finished.

Since I did not go to the Stampin' Up! Inspire, Create, Share Convention this year I thought we would have one here in Cheyenne WY.

We started out on Thursday with Single Layer Card Class which was repeated on Saturday.

Then there was a card layering class
Then I held an Advance Envelope Punch Board Class which was repeated on Saturday.  We made a match box pop up gift card holder. This was a harder class but was really enjoyed by those that took the class.
In the Evening on Thursday I had a Shaped Greeting card class, making two cards.

Then I did a very basic Blendabilities Class which was repeated on Friday.

Friday we had the Blendabilities again. But then we had a project life class.  take a look at what Valerie did with Project life.

Next we had Bags & Tags  This is just one creation.

Friday night we had Cards, Cards, Cards just come and create cards.  It was a fun time and a lot of work got done, we even stayed longer than planned.

Saturday was a repeat of a few classes plus it had one of our most popular classes.  The Paper Snowflake Class.

Today we finished up with the general Session.  Everyone who attended any class got a convention bag. It was filled with goodies.

The General Session had 2 make and takes.

Everyone who came to the general session received a gift plus we had Prize Patrol, that popped up a few times.

It was a fun time and I think everyone had a great time.  Next year I hope to be going to the Stampin' up! Inspire Create and Share Convention in Salt Lake City.  If you would like to go you can just join my team by clicking here.  It is a great deal to join the fun.  For $99 you will receive $125 worth of product of your choice.  That can even be the Big Shot.  Pay the same price as the Big Shot plus get $25 more products for your Big Shot. Best yet if you remain a Demonstrator you will be able to go to Inspire, Create, Share July 22 - 25, 2015 in Salt Lake City.  If you have questions please ask either comment here or e-mail me by clicking here.

Grandma's Rocking Chair - January 12, 2014 - Stampin' Up! Convention

Grandma's Rocking Chair - What is the Stampin' Up! Convention Like?

Wow have I been getting questions about he Stampin' Up! Convention since the announcement that if you become a Demonstrator for Stampin' Up! from July 2013 until the Convention Registration ends you will be able to go to the Stampin' Up! Convention for free.  The Stampin' Up! Convention Registration usually costs about $280. So that is a great deal.  You will still have to get to Salt Lake City and pay for your Hotel but to just get the registration paid for is great.

So what is the Stampin' Up! Convention like.  It is a fun time of new friends, old friends, Stamping, Free Stamps, learn new techniques, classes, look at new products.  I call it the 3 - Fs, Food, Fun and Friends.

I have met friends their that are still good friends and we keep in touch.  Some I still room with when we go to convention or leadership.

Samples - so many that you can't take it all in and you wonder where they come from.

What I really Like is the Demonstration on techniques and projects by the Stampin' Up! Staff including Shellie and her daughters.  They have great projects.

You also get to hear and see new products coming soon.

There are a ton of great places to eat and Stampin' Up! loves to provide goodies.

And did I mention Free Stamps and other things.  These are what I got this last year.

You get to meet thousands of stampers and you get to Swap cards with others.

I love Convention and I know you will to.  So head over to the Join my Team or Click here to get your free Stampin' UP Convention Registration.  Pay $99 to Join Stampin' Up and get $125.00 worth of Stampin' Up! merchandise plus $280 Convention registration.  You can't beat that  $99 for over $400 worth of fun.
