Colorful Saturday - October 26, 2013

Good afternoon,

Colorful Saturday it here.  I am changing it up a little.  No more challenge unless you want to play along.  I really hope Cynthia does as I do love her cards.  Doesn't she do great cards? You can check her blog out here.

I am now just going to do a few cards or projects using a set of Stampin' Up! colors.  I may take them out of the catalog, or if you would like to see how some combinations look together, just comment and I will try them for you.

Today I am suing Cajun Craze and Old Olive.  I am also using two of the sets that are on the 25 stamp sets for 25% off sale.

These are simple and easy cards.

Doesn't it just make you want to smile. I really think these colors are great colors for cards for men also.  More muted tones, even though Old Olive is a bright color with Cajun Craze it is more of a richer color.

Colorful Saturday Challenge October 12, 2013

Good Evening,  I know this is late but so many things going on this weekend.
Meigan turned 14 on Thursday but we had the Family celebration on Friday.  I had my first craft fair today, so as usual I had to get things ready.  You would think I would have this down pat but this first show is usually oh I forgot that, I should have brought those, etc.  Well I got through it.

I also have been asked by some folks to put my Christmas Cards up on my blog. I do custom orders and folks have been wanting to see them so you will notice another Tab called Cards for sale.  If you would like to order any handmade Christmas Cards you can look at them there.

I am also putting together a page of everything that Stampin' Up! sells that is not in the Catalog.  That maybe a long time, getting that updated.  Hopefully by next weekend that will be finished.

I really am intrigued by Summer Starfruit.  It takes on colors around it.  So I like to see what it looks like with other colors, sometimes it is more green, some times more yellow and at times I get a hint of blue.  So let's see what colors it looks like now.

 To me this one in real life looks yellow.  I think it takes it from the Designer Series paper.

Good day today,
We got a lot of snow but not as much as north of here, but the winter wind is here.  I hate the winter wind. It blows and blows and blows, broken doors, fences, mail ripped out of your hands everything heading to Nebraska.  Oh Well winter is here.

Today is also National Cardmaking Day.  So instead of sitting out in the wind I have been making some cards.  You will see one today and a few later on. I hope you are all making cards today or at least enjoying them.  When I am done here I am going to make a few quick and easy Christmas Cards. So let's get on with it.

Today's Colors are two we have seen before with another color now they have to stand on their own and they do very nicely.

I really like Coastal Cabana and it goes great with my favorite orange Pumpkin Pie.  Right now I really wish I had a Pumpkin Pie not just the ink.  Here are my two projects for the Challenge.

Since Halloween is coming and it is my favorite Holiday I had to make a card using my Pumpkin Pie I think it came out really well.  I like the embossed spiders They come from the new Bite Me Photo Polymer Set

These are great colors for fall.  The Baked Brown Sugar and the Pumpkin Pie goes so well together and then you have the Coastal Cabana, it just highlights it all.

Such a great Saturday.  This is the first day of fall.  I always love fall but I really don't like the winter that follows. I have been listening to a series of good mystery books by Val McDermid. I love to listen to books when I make cards, but at times I just stop and have to listen and this series is one of those. So been having a slow card making these last few weeks.

For Colorful Saturday the colors are Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzazz.

I have two projects today, both cards. I liked this combination of course one of my favorite colors is Bermuda Bay.

This first one uses Birthday Basic Designer Series paper and Yippee-Skippee! Stamp Set.  Simple and quick card.

Pear Pizzazz and Wisteria Wonder.  This really is a great combination I really liked it. Here are my samples.

I just love the 3/4" Chevron ribbon and Wisteria Wonder was the first one I purchased it is so elegant looking. This really is a fun and simple card to put together.

Good Morning

Colors are Perfect Plum and Summer Starfruit.  I really didn't know if I would like this combo.  I am not a big fan of Summer Starfruit, but I grew to like it.  It seems to change colors with what other colors it is with. With the Perfect Plum it takes on the purple color instead of the green color I am use to.  I will have to try it with a red or pink comor next and see what it looks like.

I made two cards this time.  A Birthday card and then one that I CASEd from the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.

I really liked how this one looks and it matches so perfect with the Birthday Basic Designer Series Paper.

Colorful Saturday Challenge - August 24, 2013

Every Saturday I will choose a Color Combo from either the Annual Catalog or the current mini catalog.  I will make two cards or projects using that color combination. I then challenge you to make at least one card or project using that color combo and post a link in the comments section to either your blog post on the challenge or your pinterest photo.  A random winner will be chosen each Friday and announced on the next Saturday Challenge.  The winner will receive a goodie bag or a set of note cards.

I really out did myself this week.  I did 4 cards well actually only 3 since one is a copy and a slight change.

I had to play with the new Card Thinlits so these two card use them and I really like the Pretty Print Embossing Folder and the Beautiful Baroque Embossing folder so I couldn't choose.
