Grandma's Rocking Chair - January 1, 2017 - Happy New Year and New Toys

Happy New Year!  I can't believe that it is 2017 am I really that old?  2016 was fun but I am hoping that 2017 will be better.  Do you make New Year's Resolutions? I usually don't as I can't seem to remember them after about 2 days.  This year I have 2 that I want to make.

1. I would love to finish losing my 40 pounds I am down 23, all I have to do is count calories for the rest of my life.  I gained almost 2 pounds over the few days of Christmas.  I had Christmas Cookies, a night of snacky dinner and Christmas dinner  so I don't think 2 pounds is bad.  May take me all year but I would like to be back down to 140 this year.

2. This is a business one and I need your help on this one.  I would like to sell $200 more a month of Stampin' Up! products. I made Sliver Elite last month that is a big promotion in Stampin' Up!  there are only 1303 of us Silver Elite and Above.  So now I would like to make Gold.  To do that one thing I have to do is up my yearly sales.  I figure I can do that by selling about $200 more a month than last year.  So would you help me?  Sale-A-Bration is coming up and that is a great time  for every $50 you buy you get a Sale-A-Bration item and there are a ton of great items this year.  I will be having my own specials all year long to help so watch for them.

To help me out just click here to put your order in and use the Hostess code

To get you ready for Sale-A-Bration I would like to show you some of the cards I have been creating with Sale-A-bration Sets.

Just 2 of 12 items and more to come in February.

Happy New Year and Happy Stamping

Grandmas' Rocking Chair - November 24, 2013 - Metallic Encore Stamping Pads

Grandma's Rocking Chair Product Review - Metallic Encore Pads (Gold and Silver)

I just love the Gold and Silver Encore Pads.  Why? Well there are several reasons.

1.  I love the colors.  Yes you can get the Silver color with Basic Gray and some glimmer Paint but it does not look the same and it is hard to do.  The Silver I think is my favorite, but I do love the Gold also.

2. I love the feel of it when you stamp it.  I know that sounds strange, but it has a soft cushy feeling when you stamp.

3.  I love how it covers. It is almost like our Craft Pads use to be but a little different as it seems to cover but still sink in.

4.  It is Acid Free so you can use it on scrapbooks.

Only thing I have that I don't like and I bet those of you that know me know what it is.  I am not very patient so I hate when it takes awhile to dry.  Unless you use the heat gun it does take awhile to dry and you can smear it.  Also gets all over your hands. But other than that I love it.  Here are a few of the cards I have use them on.

I used Gold On this one.  On the Very Vanilla I I used Pretty Print and then ran the Gold over it just made it pop.

This one I used the Silver on the small Snowflake I really love it on it.

I did this one the same as the above with the Gold and swiping it over the embossed Pretty print.

This is one of the ones I used a lot of the Silver on and it got allover my hands.  But I still loved using it  I love how it looks.

Here are the Details

Colorful Saturday - October 26, 2013

Good afternoon,

Colorful Saturday it here.  I am changing it up a little.  No more challenge unless you want to play along.  I really hope Cynthia does as I do love her cards.  Doesn't she do great cards? You can check her blog out here.

I am now just going to do a few cards or projects using a set of Stampin' Up! colors.  I may take them out of the catalog, or if you would like to see how some combinations look together, just comment and I will try them for you.

Today I am suing Cajun Craze and Old Olive.  I am also using two of the sets that are on the 25 stamp sets for 25% off sale.

These are simple and easy cards.

The first one uses the Happy Day Stamp Set

I just love the Smile and the Hello There.

Happy Day
Mary Trautner

Doesn't it just make you want to smile. I really think these colors are great colors for cards for men also.  More muted tones, even though Old Olive is a bright color with Cajun Craze it is more of a richer color.

My Second card uses Oh, Hello another card from the 25 stamp sets for 25% off.

This one uses the Chevrons that are so popular today.

Oh, Hello
Mary Trautner

Isn't that a fun card to look at.  Though I don't know if I would look at it much if I had been drinking I would get dizzy.

That is it for Colorful Saturday.  I hope you like the colors.  If you would like to see a specific color combo just leave a comment with which ones you would like to see.
