Fall Banner Kit

Well this morning it sure felt like fall.  I have been busy preparing for my 3 D Hershey Class for today so not much time to do much of anything else.  I am even late getting There's A Card Thursday up, doesn't help that Meigan has homework now and can't always be my camera person. But for the last few days I have been working on a cool banner.

The tough thing was trying to decide what to put on the rosettes.  Here is the banner.
Right now I am living in Wyoming and they say that they have beautiful falls here but it is just yellows.  I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I loved the fall.  So many colors, Reds, Oranges, Greens, Yellows.  Just so colorful.  There was one drive that we called the rainbow tunnel.  The trees went across the road and formed like a tunnel and in the fall it was great as there were so many colors was like driving through a rainbow.  So I like the colors.
These banners are so easy to do.

Using Build a Banner Simply Created Kit makes it so easy. Item number 133507 Click the item number to order

End of Summer Facebook Page Hop

It is the end of summer already.  I can't believe that it is already over, didn't it just start last week. I know the older I get the faster the summer seems to go.

This is a good time to celebrate the end of summer and what a better way than a hop.  So over on my facebook page I am participating in the Social Marketing for Crafters Facebook Hop ( #SMCrafters ). Where you go from Facebook Page to Facebook page.  We are offering prizes and giveaways and a lot of neat crafting.  You can head over to my page ) https://www.facebook.com/MaryTrautnerStampinUp ) to start off the hop.  Like or comment on my facebook post and you will be entered into my drawing for the Tags 4 You Set from the Stampin' Up!Holiday Catalog.

The hop goes from 12 AM September 24 to 11:59 PM September 26.  During that time I will also be doing some special projects here on my blog.

The first project is a Fall wreath. I took this idea from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, page 185.

I started out with one of those foam circles and using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die (127812 ) Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper (132184) and various colors of cardstock I started layering leaves on the circle.  I attached the leaves using a hot glue gun.  I kept attaching them for about 4 -5 layers.

To finish it off I used the Designer Type Photopolymer Stamp Set (132956), Elegant Eggplant Classic Ink Pad (126969 ), Elegant Eggplant Cardstock (105126, Naturals Ivory Cardstock (101849 ), Petite Pennants Builder Punch (122361) and Linen Thread (104199) to make the banner.  This would make a great door wreath, or move the banner down and put a pillar candle in the middle for a super centerpiece.

I hope you like this project.  If you are visiting from the Facebook Page hop, I hope you come back and visit again.
