Grandma's Rocking Chair - April 26, 2015 - Retirement List Suprises

Today's Grandma's Rocking Chair Questions has to do with Stampin' Up!s Retirement Lists - What surprised you for being on the Retirement List.

Well not to much surprised me.  I was expecting a large number of stamp sets and I really am glad that Lovely as A tree has survived again.  Of course we knew the 2013 -2015 In colors were retiring.  I was a little surprised that they retired the 12 x 12 single color Card Stock ( already sold out).  They still have the assortments and we will see if they will put out different single colors but I bet not.

I guess my biggest surprise was the adhesives both the Sticky Strip and the Transfer Adhesive Sheets. Now you all know  I love my glue dots but for 3-D items you can not beat Sticky Strip and if you want something to hold it will hold.  I use it a lot  but for classes it was expensive so used Glue dots mostly.  I did like it and use it a lot.  I hung picture frames with it.  Most of my 3 - D projects were put together with it.  It really was the best adhesive for the long haul. Snail or Fast Fuse just don't hole like it especially in the dry climates.  I hope they come up with something better but I haven't found anything like it yet.

Transfer Adhesive Sheets. Now this really surprised me as this is the first year they carried this.

At first I didn't think I would like them then I realized for die cut letters or intricate designs like the butterfly or doily this was the only thing to use to to get them to stick, without getting everything gunky.  I came to love these.  I know that there are other types of these around and I hope they will offer ones in the new catalog.  Other than that I am stock piling them just in case.
