Grandma's Rocking Chair - November 15, 2015 - What am I Thankful for

Today was wrapped in sadness - mourning Beirut, Paris, and all the other senseless deaths this week. I had a really bright spot today, I had my Boxes, Bags and Containers class.  Even though I am still praying for all the people involved in the attacks I did have fun today.

Today we had a great group of people at the class.

These are the things that we made.

All for those special Christmas Presents.  It wasn't just about the projects though I do think I did a great job on them.  It was a good time, we had new stamper and advanced stampers.  We had stampers that embossed before and those that did not.  We had good conversation and when our new stampers were not done everyone pitched in to make sure they got everything cut and stamped so they could finish it at home. We laughed and talked and didn't try to remember how horrible this weekend has been.

Sometimes when I craft I forget about everything and just relax.  I really needed that today and it was so good to have old and new friends over to share that with me.  I use to say that stamping helped me deal with the problems I had with my daughter and now that she is gone I realize it is just a way to deal with all sorts of stress. So prayers for those that need it and I will continue my stamping and creating to relax.
