August 4, 2019 Sunday Heartland Wood RV Resort

Went into East Lansing. I took a bath I have to say that the tub is great.  We did stop and buy 2 counter stools and ate lunch in the condo.

Took a walk around MSU and visited the Broad Museum it is the ugly one.  Walked to the Botanical gardens and then back to the condo.  I did my live tour of the condo and then we headed back to the camp ground.

August 5, 2019 Monday Heartland Wood RV Resort

Had a stay at camp day today.  We went and played some Mini Golf.  They had a few nice holes but most really needed work but it was fun.  We didn’t keep score so it was just fun playing. 

You should hear the acorns dropping on our trailer.  I woke up this morning and thought that the squirrels or birds had painted a target on the top of the trailer and were trying to hit it.  I laughed and Don woke up and looked like I was nuts, well maybe acorns.

Had a day creating and doing videos.  We then played some Rummikub.  Was a fun relaxing day.  Have to go in and wait for my UPS package, I tried to reschedule it to the Access point hopefully it works.  I just don’t know how it will work if they have to deliver it. 

August 6, 2019 Tuesday Heartland Woods RV Resort.

Let me tell you first about the Las Vegas Light Show we have next door.  They put up outside lights the big bulb ones, red white and blue.  Not really bad but bright lights.  So last night I thought they would go to bed and shut them off like normal people.  Nope shined through the whole night.  Our Bedroom window is right behind them and so we got the full force of  the Las Vegas lights.  Hopefully tonight they will be polite and turn them off.

So went in a little earlier than most.  They had my package on the van about 8 AM  so we sat around the condo and did a little grocery.  UPS did deliver to the UPS store so went and picked that up.  Then we went to American Flooring and looked at some flooring back and forth a few times to get the right color.  I didn’t know they had so many different flooring options.  After a few trips We arranged to have someone come out and measure us.  So it was a busy day. 

Had a nice dinner at the campground and Meigan Started to gather her things. Big Wash and Pack day tomorrow.

Hopefully the lights of Las Vegas will be extinguished tonight.

August 7, 2019 Wednesday  Heartland Woods RV Resort MI

OK  the lights were on all night again.  Why would anyone come camping and want bright lights on all night long.  The idea of camping is to get away from all that.

Last day for Meigan to be home.

Headed to the condo. Our couch was delivered two guys carried it no dolly boy that must have been a trick for inside the elevator.
 

Did a few loads of laundry.  Don and I went to MSU Federal Credit Union to sign up took awhile as we had to do Trust account.  But finally made it.

Got out of the Credit Union just in time to get Meigan to her Dentist Appointment for her new bite guard.  She has one to help her grinding. 

Scheduled the measurer to come on Friday.

Picked up another fob for our condo and talked to the Management company about a few things as we headed out of town.

Went back to the campground and played cards and had dinner.  Meigan’s last night on US soil  what a lucky girl.  She is really looking forward to it.

August 8th, 2019 Thursday Heartland Woods RV Resort MI

Big day today.  We slept late as we don’t have to be to the Detroit Airport until about 1 PM .  Meigan would like us to take her out for Lunch so we will do that.  It is just about an hour to the airport form here.

Ya before I forget the Las Vegas Lights are still shining through.

So we left for the airport and stopped at Cracker Barrel after we found out the Ruby Tuesday was in the terminal behind security.  Had a nice lunch and made it to the airport in plenty of time.  WE really thought it would be like Denver.  She got checked in in under 5 minutes and no line at security.

 

So we were out of there in under 30 minutes.  No time for tears.  She will be fine but will I. 

Headed back to the campground and stopped at Kohls in Jackson  I bought 3 pairs of shorts, OK  I was shopping my anxiety.

I did a few things  for my blogs and then went to bed it would be  an early day as we had to meet the flooring guy at 8:30.

August 9, 2019 Friday.  Heartland Woods Resort

Lights still on.  I just pulled down the shade as it was cooler last night.

Up and out by 7 AM 

 The floor guy was on time and had it measured in 30 minutes.  The Flooring store thought it would take all day.  So we stopped at a few places and ate lunch in the condo.  I am still not feeling sure of the condo.

Meigan kept us up to date on her planes and should be arriving sometime this evening for us.  Seems to be fairly smooth flights. 

Went back and had another dinner on the grill after stopping for corn.  New place and Don fixed it a little different just peeled and then grilled it.  Either it was the corn or not the steaming but the kernels were tiny and not that sweet.

Heard she made it through customs and now waiting for her to make it to the hotel.

August 10, 2019 Saturday. Heartland Woods Resort.

Well she called around 11 PM  saying she was in the hotel and told us about her trip.  Though we were falling asleep while she was doing it.  She was excited.  It was early afternoon there and she wanted to stay up to get on the new schedule.  She had a great time.

Woke up and headed into the condo going to spend the night here.  I know Don thinks this was the wrong move to make  as we have spent any money we have and really can’t afford what we wanted to do with the condo and the rest of our lives.  No Motorcycle maybe no camping and we can’t even afford the new flooring. Though I think 9 K is ridiculous for flooring. 

We went our for dinner at a new Vietnamese Restaurant Called Phos on Albert street.  I swear the girl that served us was not more than 10 years old.

We then took a walk around the campus for a bit.  We are now at the condo going to try out our sofa sleeper.
