I did a Mystery Card Making Event and the Mystery Card was a Waterfall Card.
Here are a few of the samples I did for the class.
So let's see how to do this.
Supplies:
Card Stock:
Netural Cardstock 4 - 1 ¾ x 1 ¾ , 1 – 1 7/8
x 9, 2 – 5 ¼ x 4 (1 if you use a piece of DSP 5 ¼ x 4)
Coordinating Cardstock 4 – 2 x 2, 1 – 1 x 4 ¼ , 1 – 5 ½ x 4 ¼
Designer Series Paper: 1 – 5 ¼ x 4 ( you can also make your own by uusing a Neutral 5 ¼ x 4)
Accessories: Tear & Tape or Stampin’ Seal +, you may also want ot use brads, coordinating ribbon, 1” circle punch or die
Stamp Set: Use set that has at least 1 stamp that will fit in the 1 ¾ Netural square or something you would want in those squares.
Ink to coordinate.
- Stamp or mount die cuts on the 4 - 1 ¾ x 1 ¾
- Mount the 1 ¾ on the 2” squares
- Score the 1 7/8 x 9 at 2, 2 ¾ , 3 ½ , 4 ¼
- Stamp the saying below the 4 ¼ score line ( long side of score line)
- Attach 1 square on the 2 x 2 score line make sure it fills the area
- Attach the other 3 squares just below the other score lines. Lining them up overlapping each other.
- Make and attach your background or use the Designer Series Paper on the 5 ½ x 4 ¼ Coordinating Cardstock.
- Center the punch at the bottom of the 5 ½ x 4 ¼ and Designer Series Paper and punch a half circle.
- If Needed Attach a neutral 5 ¼ x 4 to the back piece of the Card front. Punch out the circle from that side.
- Decorate the back as you would like.
- At the ends attach the 1 x 4 ¼ to the bottom 1/3 of the Card Front. Only do the ends do not attach in the middle.
- Fold the 1 7/8 x 9 at the 4 ¼ Put the long end of the 1 7/8 x 9 under the 1 x 4 ¼. This will leave the squares on the top of the 1 x 4 ¼ Adjust so that the 2 x 2 Square end is on the 1 x 4 ¼ attach so that it is only attached to the bar.
- Make sure that it pulls down smoothly from the end that is under the 1 x 4 ¼ bar.
- If you would like attach a pull at the end of the above portion of the waterfall.
- Finish off the card how you would like.
